Bailey Fitzgerald, Ph.D.

Bailey Fitzgerald is a Petrographer II at CTLGroup with advanced expertise in geotechnical and geophysical analysis, sedimentology, and marine geology. She earned her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, where she investigated near-surface geophysics, marine geohazards, and soil mechanics through experimental research and collaborative projects with Texas A&M University and the United States Geological Survey. During her postdoctoral work, she compiled geotechnical data for the USGS on Cascadian marine sediments offshore northern California and southern Oregon. Bailey brings hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, including XRD, laser particle analysis, and shear strength testing, as well as a strong command of tools such as Kingdom Suite, Techlog, ArcGIS, and MATLAB. Her multidisciplinary background bridges geology, geotechnical engineering, and materials science, enhancing CTLGroup’s petrographic and materials evaluation capabilities.
