As the Laboratory Supervisor for the Materials Laboratory at CTLGroup, Dr. Vaidya oversees the operations and work flow in the chemistry department. In addition, he offers consulting services in his areas of expertise, which include, failure investigation of structural materials, cement chemistry, Pozzolanic minerals, alkali silica reaction (ASR) in concrete, and industrial byproduct evaluation. He is proficient in the applications of atomic absorption spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), UV-Vis, Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA), and Particle Size Distribution (PSD).
Dr. Vaidya also has extensive experience in conducting research to develop new products and leading projects related to government agencies and utility clients. He is passionate about working with various types of construction materials and understanding their behavior, which is why he loves to work in the chemistry laboratory, where he gets to analyze various materials and provide his expert opinion to the clients.
