Biography

Polina Kostylev is an experienced in-house attorney at CTLGroup, where she provides legal guidance and support to the company’s management, laboratory, and consulting teams. She has extensive knowledge of compliance and ethics issues, contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining CTLGroup, Ms. Kostylev served as General Counsel at a leading proprietary trading firm in the high frequency trading industry, where she represented traders, developers, and technologists in a wide range of legal matters. With her knowledge from the world of high-frequency trading, Ms. Kostylev brings with her a fresh perspective and innovative solutions, and she is able to provide insightful legal advice to CTLGroup’s executives and project managers.

In her current role, Ms. Kostylev works closely with the company’s management team to ensure that all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively, and that the company’s operations are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. She also provides guidance and support to the company’s project teams, helping to minimize legal risk and resolve disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Ms. Kostylev holds undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Russian from Indiana University Bloomington, and a MS in Business Analytics from the University of Notre Dame. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the UIC John Marshall Law School, where she also served as Vice Barrister of the Trial Advocacy & Dispute Resolution Honors Board and won national recognition in several regional and national trial advocacy competitions. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and is an active member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

In her free time, Ms. Kostylev plays the violin in the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra.
