Biography

Dr. Feng is involved in both specialized and standard testing of cement, fly ash, slag, metakaolin, CKD, aggregate, mortar, and concrete. She also performs analysis and evaluation of cement and concrete by X-ray Diffraction, investigation of alkali-silica reaction (ASR) and delayed ettringite formation in concrete structures, research on test methods for water-soluble sulfate in soils, and leads the synthesis of pure cement compounds.

Before joining CTLGroup, Dr. Feng served as a researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) where her work focused on the hydration and microstructure development of blended cement and on concrete transport property issues. She was also a research associate at Purdue University, where she conducted research on use of supplementary cementitious materials in bridge structures. As a research associate at the University of New Brunswick, her research focused on the application of lithium to mitigate alkali silica reaction and was funded by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
