Computational models can be powerful tools for simulating the behavior of complex structural and mechanical systems. Variations in system parameters and loading scenarios can be evaluated in a systematic manner, which can be impractical if done exclusively through physical experimentation. When implemented by an expert, computational modeling and simulation provides insights that cannot be obtained from hand calculations and other simplified analyses alone.

CTLGroup experts have decades of experience in advanced analysis, including finite element modeling and simulation for design, evaluation, repair, and failure investigation of structures, including buildings, bridges, parking structures, industrial structures, liquid containing structures, pipelines, and foundations. We are well-versed in commercially available finite element programs, having used these tools to investigate static and dynamic, linear and nonlinear behavior of structures that involve extreme geometrical and material nonlinearities, instability, impact, and collapse. We also use conventional structural analysis programs for design and repair of structures.
