Risk-Based Approach
Following the practices long used in industries such as the oil and gas, chemical process, energy, and commercial aerospace sectors, CTLGroup engineers many times will approach the inspection of a building or a major civil infrastructure structure utilizing a risk-based approach. In other words, they will utilize hazard assessment techniques and risk-based inspection methods based on the knowledge of the risk of a failure.
Our approach
This approach combines the likelihood (probability) of failure due to possible deterioration or damage with an assessment of the possible consequences of such a failure.
