Gajda co-teaches Concrete Session at a 3 day Formwork Course
John Gajda, Principal Engineer, will co-taught a session entitled “Working with Concrete” as part of a 3-day course on formwork. The course is for contractor personnel, and the sessions took place Thurs. June 17 & Thurs. June 24 from 7:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
The learning objectives of the session are:
- The mix development process and its importance in construction today
- Using a batch ticket to confirm “we’re getting what we’re paying for”
- Quality control testing and concrete
- Use of maturity
- Identify and minimize thermal control issues on mass concrete
- Specialty concretes
