Structural Evaluation

Elizabeth Rodenkirch’s focus at CTLGroup has been in the areas of flooring, building envelope and sustainability. Her past experience includes working in architectural design, construction, and structural engineering firms prior to working as a Forensic Architect at CTLGroup.
Having spent eight years testing moisture mitigation products for water vapor transmission and a number of resilient flooring systems for performance over high moisture concrete, Ms. Rodenkirch has developed a deep understanding of flooring materials and the necessary substrate preparation and material compatibilities that are necessary for a successful flooring installation. Through her involvement in ASTM Committee F06 on Resilient Flooring, she has been able to contribute to ASTM standards based on her experience in investigation of flooring failures and the testing of flooring products.
Her building envelope experience includes new building envelope design, hygrothermal analysis, field testing, evaluation of materials, condition assessment, and preconstruction consulting among other things. As an Air Barrier Association of America Licensed Field Auditor, Ms. Rodenkirch is intimately familiar with air barriers and the different types available, how to detail and apply them, and how to identify and investigate air barrier breaches. Ms. Rodenkirch believes that with the right tools, owners can incorporate sustainability into their building management practice by maintaining their building well into the future.
