Particle Size Distribution (PSD) by Malvern Mastersizer 2000-Wet Dispersion in AlcoholLab ID 1323

Use
PSD is important to material performance properties such as workability, strength gain, and water demand of cement. PSD is also important in transportation/conveying systems and to monitor grinding efficiency.

Instructions
Sample mass should be at least 100 grams.

Results Produced
A graphical particle size distribution curve (range = 2000 mm to 0.02mm) on one page and a summary table showing percentages of various size fractions.

Time for Results
Results are usually available within 5 working days.

Alternate Tests
ASTM C 430 (Residue on the No. 325 sieve) provides one data point at 45 ?m. Other sieves can be used if various size fractions of the sample will be examined by other test methods.
