ASTM C 1038 Expansion of Hydraulic Cement Mortar Bars Stored in WaterLab ID 740

Use
Determination of expansion of mortar bars made with portland cement of which sulfate is an integral part. Expansion can become excessive when a cement contains too much calcium sulfate.

Instructions
Submit 10 lbs. Identify cement Type and if it is a air entraining or non-air entraining cement.

Results Produced
Length change at 14 days storage in lime saturated water.

Time for Results
Results are usually produced within 20 working days.
