Dr. Poole specializes in pavement and structural investigation, as well as concrete materials evaluation and research.
Prior to joining CTLGroup, Dr. Poole worked for a leading engineering consulting and testing firm, where he participated in a variety of pavement and structural investigations that included field observations and documentation, data analysis and repair design. He also worked on several pavement and bridge projects in Texas and Oklahoma as an engineer for a Texas firm.
While attending graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Poole worked as a research assistant, studying temperature development and thermal stresses in mass concrete, early age hydration and setting of concrete mixtures. As part of this research, Dr. Poole was involved in ConcreteWorks, a project named one of Texas DOT’s Top Research Innovations and Findings for 2005.
Dr. Poole has co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals on the subject of concrete materials, and has presented at numerous technical conferences.
